This tube is used to show that cathode rays travel in a straight line and can be deflected by a magnetic field (use a magnet to deflect the beam), demonstrating that cathode rays are formed by charged particles emitted by the cathode. All 4 of our high end cathode tubes (SS2453 - SS2456) produce a very defined, brilliant green color cathode ray for an effective demonstration.
You can also purchase a COMPLETE PACKAGE that includes 10mm induction coil, magnet wand, 4 alligator clip wires and a 6-volt battery with screw terminals.
