Product Overview
This device demonstrates Lorentz force exerted by a magnetic field on moving electrons and the deflection of moving electrons within an electric field. The charge-to-mass ratio of the electron (e/m) can be determined. In order to measure e/m, the electron beam is accelerated at a known voltage and deflected into a circular path by a known coil current. Using a detachable scale that fits in front of the tube, the circle's diameter can be measured, giving enough data to calculate e/m. This device comes complete in a woodgrain finish dark box. Instruction manual is included. Visit WIKIPEDIA for more information on Lorentz force.
