Oppositely charged from our Ebonite and fur set, you can create static electricity using this set of 2 friction rods and nylon square. This set is useful for charging electroscopes. When the friction rod is rubbed against the nylon, the friction rod becomes negatively charged and the nylon becomes positively charged. The nylon loses some of it electrons (nylon becomes positively charged) to the friction rod and the friction rod gains electrons (becomes negatively charged). Set contains 2 white friction rods and 1 nylon square.

Exactly what I was looking for! Worked as described. Purchased with Ebonite Rod and Fur and used with pith balls to demonstrate attractive and repelling forces.
